Katie surprised me by organizing a road trip with my friend to finish filming the “Power of People” music video. She knew I wanted to film at the Edmund Pettus Bridge and the Lorraine Motel. So here we are. Celebrating my 40th birthday in Selma, Alabama with my family, with my friend and with his little dog too. We head to Memphis tomorrow and then back to Florida. Thank you Katie and Matt Still for making this happen. Cheers to 40!!

I want to thank Katie for organizing this surprise trip and for sacrificing her work week for this video. I also want to thank my friend Matt Still for all your hard work these last three days. It is not an easy task to spend 3 days in a van to go and film at the Edmund Pettus Bridge and the Lorraine Motel. It’s an emotionally and spiritually testing environment and Matt, you crushed it man. Thank you for believing in me and believing in this video enough to sacrifice your days off to make this film happen. It takes a village. We’re heading back to Florida now.
