I received an unexpected Christmas gift today. ❤️ Not only did the The Legendary @taliakeys spin my new single “Baby Girl” on @krclradio today but I also got to experience it with my Mom and my friend Je Spence at @northfloridarecordings (which is where I recorded vocals for this song). It was a special moment that just felt more whole because I got to share it with some of the people who helped me get this across the finish line.
Thank you Mom, and @grazingpangea and @benbadenhorstmusic and @mckinleydevmusic for helping me get here. And that’s not even mentioning @wherethewatersflow and my daughter. It takes a village. I also owe a huge debt of gratitude to Talia Keys and her village, including @melahnadragon and Camille. If you haven’t yet, please give my friend @taliakeys a “follow” on socials and on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc. She has dedicated her life to her music and mission. On days when morale seems to ebb more than it flows, I look to her as someone who inspires me to keep my foot on the gas. She embodies “can’t stop, won’t stop” and if you knew her story, you’d have a better understanding of how challenging that can be in this business. But it pays off! A couple weeks after she graciously agreed to sing backup vocals on my track, she got a call to open for @lukasnelsonofficial (Willie’s son) on his cross country amphitheater tour last summer. That opportunity is earned, not given. Thank you Talia for everything you’re doing to hold the line and for including me in the journey. I can’t wait to see you and your family again. I hope the day comes sooner than later. Wanishi. @benbadenhorstmusic You can listen to the playback on KRCL.org click on “daily playlist” and search Dec. 26 | 10:54am "The Refugee" Video Teaser #1

Movie Premiere at Amelia Musical Playhouse: “A Film In The Key of Freedom” by Brian Ernst Amelia Island, FL — World-traveling artist and local musician Brian Ernst is set to host the premiere of his first-ever movie, “A Film In The Key of Freedom,” at the Amelia Musical Playhouse on Saturday, January 18th. The film is a unique, music and visual experience, featuring 12 music videos played consecutively into one 55-minute, thought-provoking journey. A Film In The Key of Freedom is inspired by Ernst’s personal experiences—from years spent in Africa, volunteering at the Moria Refugee Camp, assisting Syrian refugees in Türkiye, and holding the line at Standing Rock. The film serves as a musical and visual time capsule, exploring themes of freedom, struggle, sovereignty, treaties, self-determination, mental health, and the transformative experience of becoming a world-traveling family. The accompanying album, Songs In The Key of Freedom, marks Ernst’s 8th independent release and his first vinyl album. The music was recorded at North Florida Recordings (Amelia Island, FL) and also in Myrtle Beach, SC. Produced by Ben Badenhorst Music (South Africa), the vinyl record will be available for purchase on January 18th. Following the film, the evening will continue with an intermission, a Q&A session with Ernst and a special live performance to close out the night. Tickets $20 (advance) $30 (at the door) BrianErnstMusic.com/store Or, CashApp/Venmo: @BrianErnstMusic I’m proud to release the official music video for my new single, “Let It Go, Let It Be.” This is probably the most personal and vulnerable song I’ve ever released as it’s a song I wrote (and filmed) during my time working at the Moria Refugee Camp in Lesvos, Greece (Feb. 2016).
Millions of people were forced to leave their homelands because *surprise* they and their families didn’t feel safe living in a war zone. Consequently, tens of thousands of people drowned in the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas because folks were denied safe passage over land and it was basically the locals and volunteers job to clean up the mess. This song is my affirmation to “let it go” and “let it be” re: the anger + grief that was endured in the aftermath of that experience. Idk if any of my friends (who were out there with me) had a similar experience, but if so, I want to dedicate this one to you. Thank to everyone who has supported me on this journey. “Let It Go, Let It Be” is now available on all streaming sites. We’re now a third of the way through this year-long record release. If you’d like to see (and hear) the rest of the album, please buy a ticket to my Movie Premiere at the Amelia Musical Playhouse on Jan. 18th. Thank you to EVERYONE who donated after the remix I made a couple weeks ago. Pride just told me that y’all donated over $2200 since her first statement at City Hall. ❤️
So instead of being angry; let us rejoice that she’s currently raising over $733 per minute *for every minute she speaks at the people’s podium.* Can I get an Amen? My objective is to encourage decorum in the chamber, and if I was unsuccessful, then I figured we’d just write another song together. 🥰 To the surprise of almost no one, she took the bait and doubled down at City Hall last Tuesday. Say it with me. Bless her heart. You can help Fernandina Beach Pride hold the line here in Nassau County by making a donation at FernandinaBeachPride.com/donate or Venmo: @FernandinaPride The money raised is being allocated to the Pride Scholarship Fund. ❤️ —— Lastly, thank you to my Christian and/or Conservative friends/family who donated to this cause. Y’all are their target recruits. $2200 in bi-partisan donations that also included many folks in faith based communities is a *very* encouraging indicator of how deeply polarizing and counter productive this sort of inflammatory (and meritless) rhetoric is at City Hall. So without further ado, here’s the new remix. Merry Christmas. ❤️ Brian Ernst Ps. Watch till the end. 😂 I am deeply grateful to everyone who has listened/streamed my music this year. Even though I’m sharing Spotify stats, I really appreciate those of you who use Apple, Amazon, Tidal, Deezer, YouTube Music, and others.
It’s very humbling to see all the cities and countries where y’all have streamed my music this year. Thank you. I just released my fourth single from the new album yesterday. Thank you to everyone who has added, saved, and shared my new music this year. Being heard is one of the greatest gifts an artist can receive. Thank you. I would also like to express my gratitude to Ben Badenhorst Music for producing this new album. He also tracked drums, bass, electric guitar and all the atmospherics you hear. He is an exceptional talent. I also want to thank Je Spence at North Florida Recordings and Mckinley Devilbiss with Make Your Mark Studios for their valuable contributions to this album. And a shout out to Talia Keys for taking time out of her musical mission to add backup vox to one of my songs *and* for her valuable feedback and expertise on how to release it to the world. It takes a village. Wanishi. —-- [Apple Music] https://music.apple.com/.../let-it-go-let-it.../1770193137 [Spotify] https://open.spotify.com/album/02zscofau4sUiQ6vsgB9da...
